Job Description

Sells Group Advisors is seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support our valuation and financial analysis workstreams. This role is focused on the rigorous review of seller-provided financials, data normalization, and the creation of valuation models that inform both internal strategy and client positioning.

Unlike other roles in the firm that focus on business development or deal execution, this position emphasizes analytical rigor and operational focus. It is ideal for someone with strong financial modeling skills, experience interpreting QuickBooks and accounting outputs, and a knack for identifying key performance and risk drivers in financial statements.

 Location

  • Full-time, 100% In-Person, at Sells Group Advisors Headquarters in Northwest Arkansas

    • HQ is located in Bentonville/Rogers, AR

  • This is a fully in-office role with a daily starting time of 7:00 AM CT

    • Designed to maximize focused collaboration, speed of training, and client responsiveness

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and normalize financial statements provided by sellers (e.g., QuickBooks, tax returns, internal P&L reports)

  • Build financial models, including historical and projected P&L, EBITDA bridge, and valuation scenarios

  • Identify irregularities, red flags, and key revenue/cost drivers

  • Support due diligence efforts by preparing financial summaries, KPIs, and deal metrics for buyers

  • Work cross-functionally with Advisors and Transaction Coordinators to ensure accurate, data-backed representations of client businesses

  • Assist in the development of pitch materials and financial exhibits for buyer outreach

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, public accounting, or transaction services

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling best practices

  • Familiarity with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite

  • High analytical with strong attention to accuracy and presentation of numbers

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects under tight timelines
