Job Description
Sells Group Advisors is seeking a highly credible, emotionally intelligent, and experienced M&A Advisor to join our leadership team. This role is at the heart of our firm’s value proposition. You will work directly with business owners, investors, and strategic buyers to structure and execute transformational transactions.
The Advisor is responsible for relationship development, deal strategy, transaction execution, and client advocacy. This role demands a rare combination of financial acumen, industry insight, and interpersonal excellence.
Our ideal candidate brings prior M&A experience, a specialized understanding of a target industry (e.g., healthcare, manufacturing, business services, tech-enabled), and the ability to serve as a long-term trusted advisor to founder-led businesses and private equity sponsors alike.

Full-time, 100% In-Person, at Sells Group Advisors Headquarters in Northwest Arkansas
HQ is located in Bentonville/Rogers, AR
This is a fully in-office role with a daily starting time of 7:00 AM CT
Designed to maximize focused collaboration, speed of training, and client responsiveness
Key Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and grow relationships with founder-led businesses, investors, and acquirers
Lead sell-side and buy-side transaction processes from mandate to closing
Deliver client counsel on deal positioning, valuation, negotiations, and process timing
Manage communications across internal teams, legal, accounting, and buyer/seller parties
Collaborate with Research Associates, M&A Associates, and Transaction Coordinators to leverage firm resources
Represent Sells Group Advisors as a trusted partner in industry conversations, conferences, and client meetings
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or M&A advisory
Specialized industry experience in one or more core verticals preferred (e.g., industrials, healthcare, tech-enabled services)
Proven track record of navigating complex transactions and building long-term client relationships
Strong financial literacy and familiarity with deal structures, diligence, and middle-market dynamics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as a professional presence with C-level stakeholders
High emotional intelligence, patience, and resilience in the face of complex or emotional negotiations
