Job Description
Sells Group Advisors is seeking an ambitious, disciplined, and relentlessly driven M&A Associate to fuel the front end of our transaction pipeline. This role is essential to the firm's outbound growth engine. You will identify, qualify, and connect with owners of high-potential target businesses across the country.
M&A Associates are responsible for building relationships from scratch through cold outreach and strategic positioning. Your work sets the foundation for live deal engagements and directly impacts the quality and pace of our active pipeline.
This is a role for high-output performers who take pride in tenacity, creative prospecting, and effective communication. Those who succeed will gain deep exposure to the M&A process and can grow into client-facing roles over time.
Location
Full-time, 100% In-Person, at Sells Group Advisors Headquarters in Northwest Arkansas
HQ is located in Bentonville/Rogers, AR
This is a fully in-office role with a daily starting time of 7:00 AM CT
Designed to maximize focused collaboration, speed of training, and client responsiveness
Key Responsibilities
Conduct outbound cold calls and email campaigns to engage target business owners
Qualify leads through structured conversations and identify strategic fit for current client mandates
Maintain meticulous records in Salesforce including call notes, next steps, and contact outcomes
Research companies, markets, and ownership profiles to support sourcing initiatives
Collaborate closely with Advisors and Partners to shape outreach strategy and refine messaging
Hit weekly and monthly outreach targets with consistency and professionalism
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field
Prior experience in sales, recruiting, or finance strongly preferred
Unshakeable grit and discipline in phone-based outreach roles
Strong verbal communication skills and confidence engaging senior executives
Organized and systems-oriented; able to manage Salesforce, lists, and call cadences efficiently
High intrinsic motivation and resilience in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
